✓ **Portfolio-level reporting** that gives you a clear picture of utility performance across all properties.

## **Red Flags in Contracts and Pricing**

This is where a lot of operators get burned. Before you sign, watch out for:

- **Long lock-in periods** with steep exit penalties. A confident vendor shouldn't need to trap you.
- **Percentage-of-recovery pricing** that takes a cut of the revenue you bill back to residents. This creates a conflict of interest and can quietly eat into your NOI.
- **Hidden setup or per-unit fees** that only appear after you've committed.
- **Vague SLAs** around support response times. When billing goes wrong, you need fast answers.

The best billing platform in the world is only as good as how well it fits into your existing workflow. Before committing, ask:
